POSITION: OPERATIONS RISK & SYSTEMS MANAGER (D1)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To lead and optimise the retail operational control environment by integrating risk management, loss prevention, compliance, operational systems, store support processes, and business improvement initiatives. The role is responsible for protecting company assets, strengthening governance, improving operational effectiveness, driving system optimisation, and ensuring the consistent execution of operational standards across all countries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement operational risk management frameworks
- Identify, assess and mitigate operational, fraud, security, compliance and business continuity risks
- Lead operational risk, compliance and governance initiatives across the business
- Develop and implement loss prevention strategies to reduce fraud and operational losses.
- Identify high-risk stores, regions and trends and oversee investigations into significant losses, fraud and control failures
- Review post-incident findings and implement preventative measures
- Own and optimise the operational effectiveness of POS and store support systems.
- Lead the testing, deployment and rollout of new operational systems and system upgrades
- Lead strategic operational projects, business improvement initiatives and change management
- Oversee operational policies, procedures and standard operating practices
- Standardise operational controls across all countries and business units
- Ensure Health & Safety governance and legislative compliance across all operations
- Analyse risk, operational systems, compliance, shrinkage and operational performance data, and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership
- Build strong partnerships with Operations, IT, Finance, Internal Audit and external service providers
- Lead, coach and develop team members and build a high-performance, collaborative team culture.
- Relevant tertiary qualificatioN
- At least 5 years’ relevant experience
- Retail experience (advantageous)

- Maintain and support POS lab setups for testing, training and troubleshooting purposes

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To hold ultimate accountability for harmonising our commercial product pipeline with our global operational fulfillment. This strategic role bridges two distinct, high-performing divisions: Planning (the analytical, financial, and data-driven governance of stock) and Supply Chain (the physical operational movement and distribution of goods). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Strategic Contribution:
- Contribute to the formulation and execution of the overall corporate strategy as an active Exco member.
